K2RQ Alliance Project

The largest development in the NSW Government Rail Clearways Program was executed in a live rail environment

The Kingsgrove to Revesby Quadruplication (K2RQ) Alliance project included the  design, constuct and commission of two new express rail lines outside the existing local line between Kingsgrove and Revesby on the East Hills Rail Line in Sydney. As the largest development in the NSW Government Rail Clearways Program, the K2RQ Alliance project is designed to improve capacity and reliability on the CityRail network and will separate local and express services operating on the East Hills Line. As a highly complex project in a live rail environment, detailed planning and rigorous implementation was required to to deliver the project safely and efficiently.

Supply, install and test electrical equipment and cabling


David Power Pty Ltd
was responsible for

    • the installation of 8 km each of 33 and 11 kV cables
    • the provision of electrical services for the installation and pre-commission of 11kV/415V pad mount substations, 415V/415V isolating transformer padmounts, supply and install LV cables and minor modification work to existing and proposed LV switchboards
    • the supply, installation and pre-commissioning of the LV and HV earthing systems for pad mount substations at Riverwood, Padstow and Revesby Stations for both temporary and permanent arrangements
    • the supply, installation and testing of LV cabling to signalling and communications bungalows at Riverwood and Revesby
    • removal of redundant electrical equipment and cables.
